InsideLG is excited to announce a partnership with StorySnoops.com, a Los Gatos Company! No, StorySnoops is not an online gossip website; it is actually a team of four amazing Los Gatos moms who have worked hard to read hundreds of children’s books and report content back to parents, librarians, and teachers. Not only do they individually review books, but they also gather important keywords and information they believe will be of interest to parents. Thanks to this dedicated group of moms, parents no longer need to spend their time determining whether a book is appropriate for a certain age group. Just look your book up at StorySnoops.com and get all the details you need to make an informed decision.
The four moms consist of Tiffany Boltz, Shannon Knowlton, Eden Manseau, and Jennifer Nagel. Between them, they have nine children. According to their website, "StorySnoops was founded to help parents find fiction that fits the unique interests and experiences of their own children."

The Scoop on Jen {by her fellow Snoops}
Jen is an enthusiastic, diverse reader that is open to all types of genres. Utterly unable to procrastinate, Jen doesn't sleep until the task she's set her sights on is complete. And she never misses a workout--ever. With a disarming sense of humor, she is the kind of friend that never tells your secrets and always seems to have a great answer when her kids ask the dreaded awkward questions. We value Jen's vision, diligence, and willingness to power through the most inane book series without too many complaints.
Both Angela and I have children in Los Gatos schools who are avid readers. I was recently complaining to a friend, Joell, that reading books to determine if they were appropriate for my oldest daughter has been taking up more and more of my time. Although I enjoy it, I just don’t always have the time to do it, and, as a result, I have been reading less and less for myself. Joell mentioned StorySnoops, and I have been in love with the site ever since. Not only is it very informative, but it is also easy to navigate, and the searching abilities are awesome.
Every Monday, InsideLG will post a a book review and, every Friday, we will post a blog from one of the insightful women at StorySnoops.com. In addition, when the StorySnoops have a special event, we will post those details on our site too. For example, in celebration of Children's Book Week 2011, StorySnoops.com will be running an interview series May 2nd-May 7th. Guests will include highly esteemed and beloved children's book authors, including Pulitzer Prize-winning humor columnist Dave Barry, Newbery Medal-winner Clare Vanderpool, Cressida Cowell, Wendy Mass, Richard Newsome, and Stephanie Barden. Please look to InsideLG for updates.
We hope you will utilize their site as much as we have. It is wonderful resource and we are so proud that it started in Los Gatos!
