    5. Zoning Code Amendment A-12-003; General Plan Amendment GP-12-004. Applicant: Town of Los Gatos.
    a. Consider a request for approval to amend the Town Code to incorporate the Affordable Housing Overlay into Division 5, to Article VIII Overlay Zones and Historic Preservation and consider a request for approval of a development agreement
    b. Consider a request for approval to change the general plan designation of the property located on the northwest corner of Knowles Drive and Capri Drive (APN 406-28-032) from public to office.
    c. Consider a request for approval to adopt AHOZ design guidelines and application of an affordable housing overlay to five properties generally located at:
    1. Northwest corner of Knowles Drive and Capri Drive. APN 406-28-032.
    2. Knowles Drive east of Winchester Boulevard. APN 424-32-077.
    3. West Side of Oka Road, north of the Jewish Community Center. APN 424- 08-074.
    4. East Side of Oka Road, south of the Los Gatos Swim and Racquet Club. APN 424-08-057.
    5. East side of Oka Road, east of the Landmark and Los Gatos Gardens Apartments. APN 424-08-021.
    d. Consider adoption of the Addendum to the General Plan Environmental Impact Report (EIR).

      Did anyone from the school district come to the meeting and speak up? I'd love to hear from someone who attended.

      Only campbell schools sent a ltr. Noone from LG schools showed up, specifically the most impacted elementary schools. I am not sure why considering they were at every hearing over the last year.

      I thought that these new kids would all be going to campbell schools?? where is the line?

      The units on Knowles are in the Campbell district. The units on Oka are in the Los Gatos district.

      The executive management in the elementary district doesn't live in Los Gatos, and they get paid the same, regardless of how many kids are on each campus or are in each class.

      Barbara Spector publicly threw our school administration under the bus for not attending the meeting and who can blame her. It really is a shame that our school aged kids are paying the price for the lack of relationship between Town and schools.

      Why would you say that Spector threw anybody under the bus? I wasn't there, but if she pointed out that the LGUSD did not send a representative, she was pointing out the failure of the school district to participate in the process. We need to have thicker skins in this town if we want to address any real issues like school overcrowding.

      nice try Edward....we in LG have too much regard for Ms. Spector for this kind of comment to get traction. The blame is exactly where it belongs, on the Superintendent who didn't come to represent our kids, and the LGUSD Board for not making it happen. Shame on them all.

      PS - we don't have busses anymore

      The adminstartion has contributed input to the meetings several times...the council does not listen or care what the impact is on the schools...they only want the fees and tax revenue without regard to the consequences

      Actually, "they" (which was really former Assistant Sup Leslie Paulides) contributed such faulty, inaccurate and self-contradicting input that the district lost all credibility with anyone who actually knows the real data. Too bad, because there really is an impact on the schools from additional housing.
